Plastic injection moulds

Plastic injection moulds for precision engineering component manufacturing, custom-designed and manufactured with a focus on reliability, precision and optimisation of cycle times.

Plastic injection moulds

Bespoke moulds for technical plastic component manufacturing

Groppalli designs and manufactures injection moulds for plastics, intended for precision engineering component manufacturing. Each solution is bespoke, with particular attention paid to reliability, precision and the optimisation of cycle times.

What does it involve?

Design and engineering of the mould, construction and testing

The service includes the design and engineering, construction, assembly and testing of injection moulds for the production of complex technical components, aesthetic parts and functional products. Each mould is developed according to the plastic material used, production volumes, cycle times and the dimensions of the component.

Materials and technologies

Steels and machinery for mould making

For injection moulds, we use IMPAX steel (1.2311), a quenched and tempered steel suitable for nitriding, which is used for extrusion dies, punches, sliders and guides. The manufacturing process is carried out using a modern fleet of machinery, which is constantly updated, ensuring precision and efficiency in every component.

  • IMPAX (1.2311) — quenched and tempered steel for extrusion dies, punches, carriages and guides, suitable for nitriding treatment
  • 5-axis machining centres — DMU 65, 85 and 105 MonoBlock (Deckel Maho), HERMLE C650 U and BRETON Matrix 800
  • High-speed milling — vertical 5-axis milling for complex parts
  • Electrical Discharge Machining — AgieCharmilles FORM 3000
  • CAD/CAM system — integrated software for die design and processing
